Judging from the sheer amount of noise we've been making here on Japanator alone, it looks like this is going to be the year of Utada in America. She has already graced us with her presence, if not briefly and awkwardly (with pics!). VH1 is drooling over her, and she's actually asking people to sing her songs for her. For prizes.

As if all of that wasn't enough, Utada (Utada Hikaru or "Hikki," if yer nasty) has just announced that she'll be visiting the States once again. This time, several times. For a solid week she'll be stopping in at record shops (Best Buy is a record shop, right?) to sign copies of her new album This Is The One. (This might be a good time to point out the "maybe" in the message on her site.)
