We all know that, when it comes to overzealous and totally insane technology freaks, Japan leads the pack by light-years. Cutting edge tech and Japan go together like those two things that always go together. It should come as no surprise that the iPhone 3G is just as big, if not bigger, in Japan as it is in the rest of the world. Don't believe me? Well, here's the proof!
Here is video of a tiny baby who, apparently, has crawled all the way to a busy urban mega-center all on his/her own just for the chance to wait in line for the new Apple iPhone. Not even a year old, he/she is already full of a burning passion for the latest baby birthed by Steve Jobs and his Apple wifu. "Screw you mom and dad!" says the kid. "I will get all my nourishment from this sexy new box and probably also Pokemon!"
Of course the man sitting next to him does nothing to protect the kid, feigning sleep as the kid starts to crawl off to certain doom. He's all "Hey, all is fair in love and tech. If you want to crawl off and get creamed under a passing semi, that's your business." I'm sure we all know exactly how he feels.
Well, I don't know if Japanese credit card companies are as ruthless as American ones, but the kid could have a $250 credit card to apply for his phone. You never know.
Personally, I agree with you Slim... Apple's solution to any problems you ever have as a customer is to throw more money at 'em too it seems, but I'm not going to get into that.
Ummmm Zac, to my understanding the iPhone really wasn't a huge hit in Japan at all, especially with how their smart phones can do all that the iphone can and then some pretty much...
Of course I could be mistaken, but most've what I've heard from various news sources points to the contrary.
It's not fanboys or fangirls anymore, its fantoddlers! And with loaded credit cards!
