Vita Heaven: PS Vita gets a price cut, new colorSo, "Vita Heaven" came and went just a couple of hours ago, and the news was mostly positive. By far the biggest item of the hour was, of course, a significant price-cut to not one but both available models of the Vita (the 3G-capable and Wi-Fi-only ones), to the lower price of ¥19,980 (about $212). While still pricier than the post-cut position of the Nintendo 3DS XL, that's certainly a significant drop, and at just past a year since the system debuted, may anger some early adopters (though I for one am not off-put). Sony also announced a new color, Ice White, to be included in a bundle that also comes with Phantasy Star Online 2. It's quite pretty, and seems less liable to be a smudge magnet than the basic black model. Hopefully the announcement should put a bit more fire in the machine's market performance. They kinda need it, to be honest. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
