Many of you may have trouble finding employment, but it looks like the citizens of San Francisco are having a bit less trouble than the rest of us. Innumerable job listings keep cropping up for the Bay Area, and the latest comes from our overlords at Viz Media.
If you've been working in supply-chain management and purchasing for the last few years, and want to combine that with your love of manga, then you should be sending in your application to Viz for their Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator position. You'll be working with the Director of Publishing to maintain company-wide policies of purchasing, work with vendors to issue purchase orders, work with the company's ledgers and be very good at Excel.
Really, they don't stop stressing the need for good Excel skills in this job listing.
Still, if you're in the San Francisco Bay Area, or can commute there, send your resume over to the folks at Viz. Not in the Bay Area, but have the skills? List a friend's address on your resume who lives there, and hopefully they'll call you for an interview! It's shady, but sometimes it's the only way to get people to look at your resume.
Let us know if you apply, we'd love to see more of you Japanatorians in the workforce!
