Viz is hiring for its Spring Internship program photo

Looking for a way to mix schooling and your love of manga? Well, if you're living in the San Francisco area or are able to get there on a day-to-day basis, then take a look at Viz's latest internship program. With a whopping ten positions open, there's something for just about everyone.

The departments include Animation Production, Creative Department, Editorial, Information Technology, Magazines, Sales & Marketing, Web Production, Publishing Licensing, and Public Relations & Marketing. See what I mean?

If you're studying Japanese, then come hell or high water, fight your way into that Publishing Licensing internship. Without a doubt, the experience you gain from that should be an immense help when it comes to finding a job after college. To an extent, I wish my school situation had been different to allow we to do this internship.

Then again, I might not be here at Japanator right now if it weren't for the way things went. So, let us know if you apply to anything. We'll be here cheering you on!

I'm fully qualified for animation production. Short of Mac literacy.
And the San Francisco part. Never mind.
Damnit... every good job is over at San Francisco while here in NY where i live have nothing like that
@Vanacloud:
I live in Virginia. I have less than nothing. Count your blessings, boy.
You are complaining, that you don't live in San Francisco, when you live in New York?

Wow.
@Vanacloud: Actually we have more. Del Rey, Vertical, and (I think) Yen Press. They just don't hire as often :\
Also, DC and Marvel, though they aren't manga.
eek, "fluency required". Maybe next year, Viz...
the fluency bit not so much, but oh MAN i'd love to apply to some of these. If only I lived in San Fran T__T

viz should come to mn :D
@Bahamut DC's manga (CMX) is out in LA. And yes, Yen is NYC-based.
