Viz launches blog, tries to take over Japanator

Viz launches blog, tries to take over Japanator photo

I woke up this morning to find a horse's head in my bedding. Now, that's not too unusual for me, but it had a copy of Pretty Face Vol. 2 attached to it, which could only mean that this was a threat from Viz. It seems they've launched a blog of their own, although it doesn't quite take after PlayStation.Blog or MajorNelson, giving us hip insider info.

VIZBlog is written by various employees at VIZ Media, from lowly interns to executive types. The idea is to give you news and our various perspectives on manga, anime, and life at VIZ Media. Just keep in mind that the viewpoints presented are those of their authors, and not necessarily those of VIZ Media or any other of its employees. Thanks for reading, and your feedback is welcome!

Thus far they've got three posts up: an introduction, a small anecdote from the Viz of old, and a piece on proper "manga nutrition." Thus far, it's well written and looks like it can be some fun. Hopefully they'll start talking about translation problems and work they're doing on upcoming series. It'd also be nice if they could actually give a description about each person who is posting, so we get a feel for them.
