Didn't we just do this yesterday? I wouldn't say Viz is desperate for bodies -- more like they're actively building up an army that is going to take over the rest of the manga world here in the U.S.
So this time, the position is looking for someone well-versed in the world of book publishing, and can manage all the other new brand managers they're looking to hire. While a lot of the requirements are over my head, it boils down to being able to push their brands to success and have the ability to oversee several ongoing projects at once, so that Viz's overall strategy looks cohesive.
Who knows: this might mean Viz will start showing up at more conventions. That'd be a nice treat, to see them with a booth at Otakon or New York Anime Fest. Any of you readers a bad enough dude to apply for this job?
I'm going to be pissed when I graduate college and actually have the means to pursue these jobs and no anime/manga company is hiring.
