We now live in a world where there just might be aFull Metal Panic live-action film, an Akira live-action film, and a Vocaloid song live-action film. According to Canned Dogs, the Hatsune Miku song, “Sakura no Ame” will be made into a live-action film by Tetra Film Studio. They didn’t just pick any song, but arguably Miku’s most popular song, which has been sung in graduation ceremonies across Japan. It is a seriously cheese song like the American counterpart, but a very good one nevertheless.
The story is going to be about six guys who never cared about being “cool”; which means they were, in most cases, not cool. Thusly, they were given the extremely dishonorable label of otaku. However, with graduation approaching they decided that it’s time to be cool (and get laid), thusly beginning their journey toward becoming a man like Rick James. This better end like School Days, or else Dragon Ball Evolution will give this film a run for its money.
You can listen to the song "Sakura no Ame" after the jump, and see for yourself if it inspires you to drop your fandom.
In other news. It was just announced that there will be a live action adaptation of the popular product "mayonnaise." Mayonnaise will be the inspirational story of fat kids who learn to be who they are and love the things that make them special. Like eggs and oil.
Goodness that's a crappy song. So, beyond the song title and the song content this has nothing to do with Miku? Sounds like a waste of time. 40 year old virgin sounds like a better concept, oh wait, that sucked too. They should make a Legend of Black Heaven movie, now that's a story.
