It's a good thing we have Barcades to help keep them relevant as well. I'm lucky to have a normal arcade place called Arcade Odyssey which carries classic, modern and import arcade games.

The manga has been on my list to read for ages. The anime's animation quality did not jive with me and it deserves to be remade today.

As a fan of Hiro Mashima's Rave Master manga, I've been meaning to dive further into Fairy Tail. From the volumes I've read of the manga, I enjoyed it so far.

I like encountering stuff like that, since it exposes me to new stuff that I may like but don't know it yet. It makes me want to look it up and try to see the appeal and if it appeals to me, then I have something new to love.

Yeah. It might be too early to start speculating, but a part me still wishes for the next Smash to have a better single player mode.

I'm not a big fighting game buff as well. Hell, I tend to gravitate towards titles where the timing behind doing the move commands is very forgiving. It's one of the reason why I liked playing BlazBlue (I got to play a friend's copy for a while) and Persona 4 Arena (I still haven't played Ultimax yet). The advanced combos may require some more skill to pull off, but the basic moves and features are easy to use. Anyway, good to hear that the BlazBlue series has a fun story. While I don't own the new Smash yet, it was unfortunate that we didn't get a single player mode that was on similar level to the Subspace Emissary mode from Brawl (I played the Smash WiiU at a friend's place). At least it's still fun to play with others.

I remember being intrigued by this title when I played the XBlaze demo on the PS3. It's a shame that it didn't live up to its potential. On a different note, how was the BlazBlue series' story?

I see what you mean. I guess another possible answer could be that the since the manga is a gag story, the original creator probably doesn't have any plans to implement any form of drama yet? Then again, the source material is still young, so that might change down the road.

OverlordZetta commented on OverlordZetta's post . view
Possibly! I have the feeling that was how it was there, though I could be wrong - it didn't feel out of place, if that makes sense? It was inconsistent, but as far as the show's type/genre is concerned, I guess it's to be expected? I dunno. I could be wrong.

While I haven't watched Umaru yet, my guess is that Toho and Dogakobo weren't sure if the show would get renewed for a second season? At least the original manga is still going, so you could see how that turned out-- in case it handled that one arc differently or if the final arc was original to the anime.

With Leo, 80, Max, Mebius, and X already on there, CR might be the perfect spot for anyone to dive deep into the Ultra franchise. Also, Nexus episodes 2 through 4 are now on Tsuburaya's YouTube channel as well.

I was mostly referring to some of the design and visual choices that Ghost used, which seemed to be caused by a lower budget than its predecessors. I plan to cover a few examples of them during my post about my thoughts on the show so far.

Interesting take on Ghost's themes, Zetta. Hopefully, the show's second half will grow on you even more next year. Who knows, if toy sales are better, I hope that Ghost also gets a better budget for the later episodes as well. Speaking of aftermath, the same thing happened to Gokaiger, which caused the show to have more cameos and Sentai references than what the team originally expected. That said, there's something magical about a production team using their medium to bring joy to people's hearts. It shows that the majority of people who worked on it care about the property they're working on-- especially if the audience can pick up on it while they experience it.

Nice job in making or finding these, Zetta! Come to think of it, if a miracle allowed for one of Toei's heroes to be in Smash, Fourze would be a perfect character, since the Astro Switches could turn him into a fun versatile character. On a different note, a friend of mine found this Sentai Smash edit image on Tumblr around the time Cloud was announced. https://40.media.tumblr.com/02259c6334d64100cf0b64a6a072dddb/tumblr_nxrijmicK41so5zoyo1_1280.png

Congratulations on finishing your introduction post, Zetta! Silly enough, I was introduced to toku by a friend who I haven't seen in a while as well-- he moved to Cali to pursue his dream to become a stuntman and he's doing good with his gigs. When I first discovered Sentai, it happened when I walked into a room in my old college and I asked if the program on the TV was Power Rangers-- the same friend was watching it before the anime club started their meeting. It turned out that it was an episode of Ninpu Sentai Hurricanger. Also, he went to school in a Shurikenger suit during the whole day. While we never got to watch any shows together, his passion for Sentai and Kamen Rider eventually rubbed off on me over time. Then as a dedication to him when he left, I decided to embark on the path of toku, which lead to me writing about Gokaiger and eventually Kamen Rider OOO on the c-blogs in 2011. Even though W was the first toku show I finished, it wasn't until 2011 when I started to get invested in the medium. Then I discovered the Garo franchise, along with the parody shows like Akibaranger and Kanpai Senshi After V. Eventually, I also started getting into indie toku, which was thanks to Garage Pro TV's Bootleg Edition of Gun Caliber, along with Samurai Action Studio's Fujiyama Ichiban web series. On a different note, it's unfortunate that Yoh from Shaman King never made it into J-Star VS as a DLC since there was that news or rumor that said that he was in the game's code.

I remember you told me about Ginga not being that great. That said, I heard that Ginga S was better since Koichi Sakamoto of Fourze and Kyoryuger was the show's Director.

It also deserves props for bringing back the franchise's element where the team's first robot combination makes its debut after the show's been airing for seven or ten episodes.

Oops. I meant to ask if you went through a similar scenario where you enjoyed an episode of a toku series (other than Ninninger) more than a Rider one during its broadcast?
