Yes, five new manga serials are set to be launched by Kodansha in five different Kodansha-run comic anthologies, all apparently connected to Love Plus and some unnamed "super special" spring title. More details regarding this huge project will be revealed come March 4th. The five new series will appear throughout April and early May in Monthly Shounen Rival, Bessatsu Shounen Magazine, Monthly Young Magazine, Magazine E-no and good! Afternoon.
Judging by a picture captured from the announcement's flash animation, the silhouettes of Love Plus' three heroines are visible, which means that Manaka, Rinko and Nene will get their series debuted in Rival, Bessatsu and Young, respectively. The other two series debuting and E-no and good! Afternoon are still a mystery, though the E-no series silhouette implies either a multi-character story, or a horribly misshapen monster as protagonist.
Now, I'm all for media/franchise diversity, but having a Love Plus-based manga feels...wrong somehow. And what's the super-special title? Is it the already-announced Love Plus+? Or is it some other new girlfriend-simulator? Speculation engines GO!
Nothing better than a story with a protagonist who isn't me to drive me further from my 2D waifu.
