Wait, what? Neon Alley to summon Fate/Zero's English dub

6:05 PM on 02.06.2013

I didn't think that I would live to see Fate/Zero and English dub in the same sentence, since many of us assumed that Aniplex's release of Fate/Zero's import set would nullify the possibility of seeing a release with a dub. With Neon Alley having plans to show Fate/Zero in English, we can assume that Aniplex is going to use the Holy Grail to create a new set that will include the dub. Sure, it's going to be pricey, but I bet that it's going to cost a hell of a lot less than the two previous sets that came out.

Based on a first impression note, Aniplex's dub is not too bad. Though I find Bridget Hoffman's take on Irisviel to be lacking on a few emotions; however, that was based on only one line, so I will hold off on my final judgement. Kari Wahlgerm as Saber has the potential to be better than Kate Higgin's role, and Dan Woren could give us a new take on Caster's crazy personality.

It's also silly that Doug Erholtz (Shinji Matou), Grant George (Gilgamesh), Jamieson Price (Kirei Kotomine), David Earnest (Assassin), Patrick Seitz (Souichiro Kuzuki) and Liam O'Brien (Archer) from the Fate/Stay Night dub are returning as different characters. One of the most hilarious part of this outcome is that Grant George is not reprising his role as Gilgamesh, since David Earnest is voicing him in Fate/Zero

Fate/Zero's dub will premiere during the Spring on Neon Alley, which will be the day when we get to see the dub in full action.

Since I got to share a bit of my thoughts on the dub, what are your opinions on Aniplex's English cast for Fate/Zero

This Attack on Titan mock film poster is pretty sweet

I have very little faith in the Japanese film industry's ability to make a decent live action adaptation of Attack on Titan. Very few studios here could supply the budget required to make it work. This is especially the case ...
