This is a good day, a very good day. I love Dragon Ball, and to watch a new episode even though the series ended many years ago, is like returning back to life for only an hour. Right now you can go to Shonen Jump’s website and watch their Super Anime Tour special episode of Dragon Ball streamed to your computer; best of all, it has subtitles!
It took me awhile to figure out how this crazy streaming system works, and lucky for you I’m here to help. After going to the site, click on the link near the bottom right hand corner that says “Download Browser.” Install the browser after downloading it, then go back to the main page and click on the “Watch this anime” button; it should open in another window.
Now on to the actual episode itself. It takes place two years after the end of Z, with everyone back at home doing their own things. However, Goku stopped training Ubuu, which he was supposed to be doing during the break between Z and GT; I guess he’d rather be planting radishes or something. Anyways, without spoiling too much, bad guys show up, and everyone wants to fight them; though sadly, their opponents suck too much to give each one of the Z fighters a real fight. Now what would help the Z fighters unleash this extra pent-up anger is another season, though I think that ship has long set sail. Really, this was nothing more than a big filler episode, but damn what a filler episode it was. Not because it of its amazing pose or fight scenes, but because it’s an old friend that we haven’t seen in while; and that my friend, is priceless.
Am I the only one who did all that and still can't get it to work? I installed the browser. I click the "Watch this anime" button. It opens up, but nothing plays. It's not like I have a crappy connection either.
It's been choppy on and off for me too, but I watch it and it's pretty good so far.
Does anyone else think it would be awesome if Akira Toriyama started making a whole new DB series that takes off and makes GT like it never existed? It'd be a big fuckyou to the guys that did GT, but that in itself would be hilarious.
The way it ends totally leaves it so that there most likely won't be any more, which kind of bums me out. But that's okay, it was fun to watch. And even more enjoyable to know that at least there was one new DBZ episode for me. :)
YEAH DBZ! is what I would yell at the top of my lungs to show how happy I am right now. Sadly, it's 3:30am and my house mates are sleeping and I'm sure none of them would like that....so just a little scream of happiness....yeah~!......
^_^ That took me back. I've missed watching this series, and watching a whole new episode is really great. It does seem like this is just some random one shot thing, but hopefully they do create another one.
Goku didn't stop training Uub; he actually hasn't started yet when this OVA takes place. It happens two years after Majin Buu is killed, not two years after the end of DBZ :)
I really loved watching it; such great nostalgia and very kind to all characters involved with lots of shared screentime.
alot of love for the old characters, it was great!! wolf claw! distructo disc! they could have fleshed out Tarble alot more and next time can the old animators come back to work instead of some amateur hentai company?
I love dbz it was one of the first anime that i every watched. I watched it in english though and i think the japanese voices in this one are absolutely horrible. With that aside i love watching my old favorite.
