Ah, it's almost as good as a direct IV of manga implanted into my veins. There's no sometimes-Kodansha or once-in-awhile-Kodansha. It's a full-blown effort now, with their new offices in New York City, and a new like called Kodansha Comics.
Kodansha Comics is working up a list of releases now (to be published by Random House), but they've already said Akira and Ghost in the Shell are coming. Again. I'm sure better stuff is coming, as well as titles that other publishers previously had licenses on. I'm sure they want their titles back.
This is great news. I'm glad Kodansha isn't scared to jump into the US market, given our weakened economy and all. I haven't stopped buying manga. I may buy more now!
BTW: Kodansha, you are liars!
