Usually, things do not look so great when placed outside of its natural habitat. Though rules are always meant to be broken, and usually are. Point being, when bringing an anime or video game into a live-action environment, the outcome is truly up to the Gods (me withstanding). Sometimes it can be a hit, though it seems most of the times it falls hard on its bum. So for this weekend Japanatainment, I bring you a tasty sampling of media live-actionized. Dragon Quest with real life slimes, to a live-action Naruto intro that will make you vomit up your leg hair. Though don’t take my word for it, join the party after the jump.
Live action Dragon Quest (It's raining slimes!)
100% otaku made, anime-inspired intro
Another look into live-action anime
Epic skit
Sailor Moon intro
Fist of the North Star fight scene
Dragon Ball the Magic Begins; I hope my body can take it.
Another musical, this time featuring School Rumble
Live-action Naruto opening from South America; ps. Ishaan plays Sasuke
Curse you, God Len. Curse you for an eternity. I hope you die from watching Yami no Matsuei re-runs back-to-back.
I think out of all the live actions versions of animes I have seen, Hana Yori Dango (Boys over flowers) just had the perfect cast, the perfect music, and just a good story all in one. Love the intro for it too. If you have not watched the live action drama Hana Yori Dango Live Action. Watch it! NOW!
o god that was... that was... too horrible for words
especially that full metal alchemist one.. BLASPHEMY!!
LOL... that Fist of the North Star movie was horrible! Hokuto shinken looked so ineffective... the hundred punches didn't look like it hurt at all, and I didn't know Nanto Seiken included headbutting and stomping on one's nuts. XD And when Shin was poking the holes in Kenshiro, Kenshiro was sooo unmanly in his cries and Shin looked disgusted with the gore at the end... totally stupid. I heard there was an equally stupid Korean version of Hokuto no Ken as well.
