File this under 'strangest name and premise for a game ever'. Intense, developers behind the Escape from the Sealed Room video game series, will be bringing their latest title, If I Were in a Sealed Room With a Girl, to 3DS systems this winter.
I know you're all as excited as I am about this announcement. I've been waiting years for someone in the video game industry to take advantage of this kind of situation. According to Andriasang, the game is going to be split into two different sections. One half functions like a dating sim where you try to guide the main character into wooing the leading lady. The second half is where things get weird: in your dreams, you're trapped with the girl in a room and have to find a way to get out. Dear lord, the suspense.
There are three separate girls to choose from named Kazumi, Kokoro and Tsubasa. Given the pedigree of character designer Shirahane Nao, I'm sure we can expect some fanservice elements to find their way into the game.
It's almost too bad, because in some ways the premise reminds me of Atlus' latest title, Catherine. I fell in love with the aforementioned title (in both Japanese and English), but I know better than to expect as much from this.
Prove me wrong Intense. Prove me wrong.
