Funimation.com/announcement/ has this nifty splash page which, in less than 24 hours, will be replaced by FUNimation’s first acquisition of 2008. An acquisition that makes us all wonder, ‘what will it be?’ With ADV on the fritz and Geneon as good as dead, FUNimation has to put on their game face and wow us into consumer submission.

Gia has a lot of ideas floating around Giapet.net about this very announcement, such as Black Lagoon, Hellsing, Neuro, D.Gray-Man or Claymore. All these are really safe picks, and were made using well tested theories going back many, many years. My vote goes to Kaiji, I don’t know why but this is what my heart is telling me.
