Whats in the Box: Finally Supporting the Industry by Buying Physical Media Edition
About me
Following (4)

A box, it's brown and tastes alot like cardboard. Often used for shipping things.

So here I was earlier this week checking the mail when I come across the monthly gas bill. After tearing it open I quickly look at the amount due so I can pay it and get on with my day:

No Payment Due

Huh? I'm sure I used gas this month for cooking and stuff. I know they just upgraded my meter for free but I should still owe them money. Let me look at this again:

Fees/Adjustments $160.00 CR

160 bucks? Wait a second, it's August right? I know what this is!
This is the deposit I gave them last year around this time to hook my gas up, sweet!
MONEY TO BURN BABY!

Fast forwarding a few days I received the first of two packages this morning. (The latter of which is shipping from glorious Nippon herself, expect a bump in a week or two.) So after a brief inspection from the local customs agent, (see gallery) I proceeded to tear this bad boy open.

"Shut up and open the damn box already"

These are my findings:

1 TSRI Right Stuf Catalog Info Card

Pretty self explanitory.

1 Gunslinger Girl DVD Box Set (Hyb) - Viridian Collection

Ever since I watched this on Funimation's streaming site I've always wanted to own this series. I have plans to pick up the second season when it gets repriced in November.

1 Toradora! DVD Box Set 1 (S) Premium Edition

So, yea. I'm a sucker for a good romance comedy and I hear this is one of the best. Not to mention, after watching Unique I really, really wanted to see this. Allow me to repeat that. My decision to purchase this was influenced, in part, by an Anime Music Video.

Now if you excuse me, I need to go get my Toradora on...

MINE! YOU CAN'T HAVE!

...as soon as I pry it away from the cat.

Get yourself some Baccano!.
Funny coincidence, I just watched a Baccano AMV and now I want that too.
Ah, it's always a merry day when a RightStuf package shows up at the door. I really want Toradora myself, but I'm kinda waiting on a non-premium edition (basically the same thing but without the artbook; maybe knock off $5-10). I've been meaning to make a new order for a while, but I haven't even watched all of what I bought in my last order. Zoiks!

Still, bill credit is one of the few good surprises in life, so congrats!
I tend to buy anime from Amazon, myself.

Also, Protip: Watch Baccano! dubbed.
Everything Irothtin has said is fact. Buy Baccano! now. You won't regret it. And the box set has a super awesome-looking cover.
@Ben Huber

The back-of-the-box blurb is also awesomeness in paragraph form.
@ Irothtin Is Amazon usually cheaper? I went with Right Stuf because I'm only about 4 hours west of Des Moines. I ordered this Wednesday night and used their free shipping option. Being in the middle of the country has actually served useful for once!

@ Ben I need something else to get free shipping on the second set for ToraDora, Baccano looks like it might be a good choice!
ah, packages! I love getting anime in za mail!! =D
I even hold off on opening them a bit, just so I can still have something to open! I currently have a Miku 1/8 PVC coming in the mail. Great buys, man! (or girl) I can't wait to get ToraDora!

@Irothtin yep! Amazon is so far my primary as well... I'M NEVER GETTING SCREWED OVER BY PLAY-TECH ASIA AGAIN! (skipped, cannot search, no extras...)
oh yeah-- does anyone know if ToraDora is going to be dubbed? I was wondering if it's worth waiting that long to buy the dubbed version
Skip getting Gunslinger Girl second season. The shift to Artland from Madhouse, for me, was just a bit too much. Stick to the first 13 episodes.
@Mari No dub planned, so go buybuybuy now! Plus, the sub voices are superb.
Clannad series > toradora
^^ Unfair comparison, since Clannad >> Most.

Now gimme some of dem Toradoras.
The Baccano!! dub is the most awesome dub ever, and dont try the sub, you wont understand whats going on after an episode.
