Check out these blog links to see some beautiful sculpture work by Makaon, who makes awesome pop culture and insect or animal pieces out of regular cans. I put a few of the pictures in the gallery, but really there's so much more to see.

What's wonderful about her work, and I'm echoing what Brian Ashcraft wrote at Kotaku about this artist, is they aren't simply random cans that have been reshaped -- Makaon actually goes through the trouble of planning the colors out to make each sculpture look its best. You'll see some solid examples of it in the gallery, like with Mario and Luigi, a Gundam (and other robots) and even Buzz Lightyear. These sculptures are meticulously put together from all kinds of different cans.

Again, check out a few samples to whet your appetite over in the gallery, and then hit up the first two links above for tons more, put together in galleries according to their category (like cartoons/anime here).
