Why are people calling Beckii Cruel the new Leah Dizon?
by Colette Bennett, 10/14/2009

Okay, I know that Japan loves to watch homemade videos of people dancing to music. I don't personally get it, but you know, I get it. What I do not get is how fourteen year old Beckii Cruel is somehow being called the next Leah Dizon because of her series of dancing videos, which has crawled onto Nico Nico and earned her 3.3 million views.

Beckii also will debut her first DVD on December 19th, called This is Beckii Cruel.

I'm assuming it will be a collection of videos of her dancing in her room alone to music, but maybe I'm in for a surprise and she has something else up her sleeve. I think Beckii is a cute girl, but I just don't understand how dancing videos on YouTube can somehow make you famous. ANN also reports she'll be at a stage event at Akihabara Entamatsuri 2009 on October 25th. The mind reels.
