Win a chance to get your photo with the Odaiba Gundam, which fights for nature!

Win a chance to get your photo with the Odaiba Gundam, which fights for nature! photo

ANN proves that once again, it's possible to auction just about anything on Yahoo Japan. This time, they're offering up a chance to get your photo taken on the Gundam's shoulder. So start your bidding, and get your Mobile Trace System cosplay ready, because if you're going to be anything like That Great Man, you'd better be ready to steal that Gundam when the time comes. The whole stunt is part of Japan's bid for the Olympics in 2016 -- so I guess they're stooping to intimidation tactics now?

Sure, the price is at 803,000 yen ($8,580) right now, it's all for a good cause, I guess? Actually, according to 3yen, the Gundam project is part of a plan to make Tokyo a more enviornmentally friendly city. You can tell, because the Gundam is made from 100% recycled Gundanium!

So, how much would you pay to get your photo taken on this giant beast, and to help out in the opening ceremony for the 2016 Tokyo Olympics? I'm betting the bidding is going to go over $25,000 -- I'd cut myself off at $20,000.
