It may only be August, but for Wota, it's graduation time! Unfortunately for some, the "graduation" in question isn't so much "graduating" from idol obsession, but a celebration of an idol's going solo. The celebrant? Atsuko Maeda -also known as "Acchan" - the longtime star of AKB48.

Thankfully for Acchan's international fans, AKB48 is in the throes of a fairly comprehensive overseas push. Just as it streamed this year's AKB48 election ceremony (which Yuko Oshima won), YouTube and Google+ have arranged to stream the whole of Acchan's Graduation Concert live, starting on August 27th, at 1800 Japan time (about 0500 EST on the 27th in North America).

It's certainly a better deal than the recent NicoNico "live" stream of Animelo, so AKB48 fans who wake up bright and early (depending on their timezone) will get a treat. Fans who wake up in the dead of night instead can catch Acchan's graduation parade at 1530 Japan Time as well.

Now, all we have to wait for is for Acchan to suddenly be enveloped in a halo of light and transcend her physical form, as all Center Novas do in AKB0048. Surely that's what happens to idols, right?
