It's hard for me to call him injury prone, but it certainly seems like he is. Yoshiki, known in the past for his unorthodox manner of drumming--no doubt leading to his current condition--has posted on X-Japan's official fan site regarding his recent surgery to treat a herniated disk of his vertebra. It seems as though he'll be out of action for at least a month and a half as he recovers and completes some rehab.
Thankfully this means he shouldn't be postponing any shows X-Japan had planned, since the next performance is scheduled in France sometime this October. Of course, should the condition not clear up, he'll have to do it all over again, which might just prevent him from making those concert dates.. again. I can't be too angry though. Being a fan, I'm just happy to see X-Japan reunited, and that's more than anyone should really have asked for. Rather than judge them for missing concert dates, I think I've come to accept that they're getting kind of old and might not be in the condition they were, say, 15 years ago. Don't you think you'd want to take things slow?
