On June 8th, the newly reunited super-band X-Japan announced that it would be postponing all future live gigs. The reason? Drummer Yoshiki and his herniated disc.
Turns out that the not-so-indestructible drummer ignored a doctor's orders to wear a "corset" (I'm guessing it was more of a back-brace) during the band's three massive reunion shows at the Tokyo Dome. Because he would rather die before appearing in public without his smooth man-boobs fully exposed, Yoshiki played all three shows without the brace. Now he's laid-up in LA with a fleet of doctors at his side.
Way to go dude. I'm sure the legions of fans in France, Taiwan and the US really appreciate your dedication to being a pompous show-off. The sad thing is that I'm sure they are all wishing him well and sending him their “get well soon” letters as we speak, instead of frothing at the mouth in a bitter rage. Can't anyone stop this vicious cycle? Enablers, all of you!
