Man, why are all you East Coast people suddenly getting all the awesome J-Music concerts? First T.M. Revolution holds a concert in NYC, and now the newly reunited X Japan is set to play at Madison Square Garden this September 13. As of now, details are scarce, but the September date seems very firm. X Japan also has plans to travel and play in other countries, as well - they also announced a July 5 concert to be held in Paris, France and have expressed interest in touring other Southeast Asian and South/Central American countries. Will there be more American concert stops? I certainly hope there will be, but they probably won't be happening for quite some time even if they are announced.
No word yet on when tickets will go on sale or how much they will cost (I'd say to expect the usual Ticketmaster nickel-and-diming), but if I were even remotely close to NYC, I'd make sure to jump all over this. Being able to see one of Japan's most legendary music acts Stateside may well be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
