Well, Otakorp is none too pleased about one of their former staffers selling fake Otakon passes at a discounted rate. Earlier today, they put up this notice on their website:

It has come to the attention of the Otakorp, Inc. Board of Directors that Mr. Geoff Beebe, a former Otakon Staffer, had been selling memberships outside of appropriate channels and at a discounted rate. He claimed to the buyers that he had special permission from the Board of Directors to do so, but no such permission was ever asked for or granted and was never a practice for the granting of memberships.

So, like any good citizen, if you've got any information about these passes, please contact Otakorp through this contact form, or their contacts page. If you bought one of these, I can't imagine Otakorp banning you from the con or anything like that -- it'd be an extremely harsh punishment towards their fans that could only end in backlash.

Just remember, though: if a man is trying to sell you Otakon passes for $1...get them before they're $2.
