Your Persona and Toradora DVDs may suffer ghosting issues photo

It appears that some customers are reporting that their recently purchased copies of Persona -Trinity Soul- and Toradora are currently suffering from issues related to video quality. While I feel bad for the customers, I feel equally bad for NIS America, seeing how these titles mark their entry to the North American anime market.

Fortunately for them, Nippon Ichi seems to be taking the matter quite seriously, having already acknowledged the issues being reported, and are currently working to fix the problems. They're urging customers to stay tuned to their official website for additional instructions. It's a tough break really, but I'm pulling for them -- after all, it's always nice to see the industry expand instead of collapsing in on itself.

MOAR Toradora:

Legacy Comments

Well mine is in the mail and supposed to get here tomorrow. I am unsure how I feel about this, I really don't like that the disc's will have ghosting, but being they are offering to replace them before they really have hit market is a big plus.
Mine's on my shelf right now. Time to dive in and make sure everything's ok.
I know. NIS America is already doing well in my book just for the fact that they got Toradora and are willing to admit mistakes and rectify them rather easily.
Brad mentioned that his copies seem to be just fine.
What lyfe said. I'll be taking mine off the shelf and watching tonight for sure.
Seconded what Lyleforce said...

I've got my copy, and am watching it...so far, haven't seen anything out of the ordinary, but I've just finished the first disc.

I'll give NIS a lot of credit, though--they're moving to solve the problem quickly. It is a shame, since they've done a fantastic job with the premium set. I hope that this is not a big setback for them.
I've watched most of the first disc for Toradora, and I haven't noticed any video issues. (Then again, video issues usually have to be pretty awful for me to pick up on them.)

I give NIS credit for moving so fast to address the problem, and I also hope that it's not a big setback for them.
Should be getting mine in the next day or two... gonna fire them up as soon as they come in and test it.
You deserve everything you get for buying Persona: Trinity Soul.
