The Japanator Awards 2015: Jeff's Top 5 Anime of the Year

Nothing says that 2015 was a good anime year than how I had a rough year with countless real-life responsibilities competing with anime time, and it still won. On average I kept up with at least 10 series per season, not counting the shorts. That's a lot of time spent watching cartoon baseball, cartoon cooking, cartoon making cartoons, or whatever passes for my not-quite-casual escapism.

The odd thing is, I still felt 2015 was full of anime let-downs and disappointments. There were a handful of series that could have been really great, but for one or more reasons these series didn't pan out. Thankfully, there are those that sort of did. And it's time to give them the recognition they deserve.
