999: The Novel debuts on iOS March 17

Prequel to Zero: Last Reward lets users complete the story

If you're a fan of the PS Vita release of Zero Escape: Zero's Last Reward, then get yourself ready for the release of 999: The Novel. The original game in the Zero Escape series is hitting iOS devices on March 17th. If you never got the chance to play 999 on the Nintendo DS when it dropped in 2010, now's your chance to play it in an easily-accessible format.

Never played a Zero Escape game? They're a bunch of fun, if you're a fan of the visual novel category. You play as part of a group that's been trapped in a room with a bracelet attached to their arm, stuck in a sort of prisoner's dilemma game. You end up playing through a number of different paths, and filling in all the holes for the mystery is addicting.

Our sister site Destructoid loved the game when it was originally released, and one can argue that iOS devices are better suited for a touch-based game. The game will be available for $4.99 on the App Store.
