FLCL's sequel brings out The Pillows goodness on June 2

Whenever a title finishes its run, there's a good chance that its story is complete. As FLCL's new seasons hit us with a cool trailer, I'm still siding with those who think that they aren't necessary. Aside from the original show havin...

Get drunk with Coca-Cola Japan's upcoming alcoholic drinks

I may not be big on Coke, but I enjoy mixing it with rum and a bit of lemon. While we're on the topic of mixing booze with soda, Coca-Cola's Japan branch is planning to release an alcoholic beverage in the region. Interestingly, it's t...

Tokyo's upcoming Gintama cafe features some golden entrees

So I finally watched Gintama, and it's now one of my favorite comedy anime shows. Part of it is thanks to its whacky cast, along with the series' tendency to surprise its viewers during each episode. On that note, I'd like to thank Jap...

Japan's Sukiyaki Pringles sounds a perfect match

The closest thing I've had to sukiyaki (hot pot) was a variation where it replaced the meat with tofu. As a lover of vegetables, the warm meal's mixture of various things felt good and comforting. In fact, it made me interested in the origi...

Grand Ceremony: Two Sentai actors tie the knot

We may live in a world where a new season of Akibaranger might never happen, but that isn't stopping us from appreciating Toei's Sentai parody series. Considering that the show featured cameos from the official installments, I found it neat...

This T-shirt lets you hug your waifu in public

Learn about Japan's secret elevator codes

Densha Otoko's Writer joins Kamen Rider Build's staff

Man. It's been a while since I heard about Densha Otoko/Train Man. My only knowledge about the series is its connection to a likely true story about an otaku hooking up with a girl he saved during a train ride. Thanks to a few people on Jap...

About Salvador G Rodilesone of us since 10:40 PM on 07.28.2011

Salvador's an average bystander who took his first steps towards a life-changing goal. During his journey, he's devising a way to balance his time with anime, manga, video games, and tokusatsu into one manageable platter. While his plan sounds like an impossible task, Salvador hopes to turn his goal into a reality.

When he's in the mood for a challenge, Sal loves to overcome the spiciest meals in the world. By consuming the hottest meals on the planet, Sal hopes to obtain the powers to resist the hottest temperatures and drink lava as a refreshment. Hopefully, he won't burn up in the process.

From time to time, you can find him on Twitter as The Crimson Blade, a nickname that was handed down to him by his close friends.

Disclosures:

Sal is friends with 2D Animator BlueBandanaJake, Stuntman Vaughndio Forbes (Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Stuntman for Captain Holt) and Freelance Lab Zero Games Clean-up Animator Dustin "Can of Toast" Cantos since he met them during his pretend college days (a.k.a. The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale).

Sal backed Kick Heart, Masaaki Yuasa's wrestling anime, on Kickstarter.

Sal hangs outs in the Sanctuary Crew Discord room, which Seizui, the creator of Reize and Star Chaser Story, moderates.
