A Daily Dose of Music: Old School Thursdays

It's Revy time

Remember how we were just talking about Black Lagoon yesterday? Yeah, me too. Of course I couldn't get the show out of my mind, especially the super catchy opening theme. So let's jump back to the not so far away sounds of 2006, and the blood bath anime Black Lagoon, which featured one of my all time favorite characters, Revy.

The show was opened with the hyper beat and driving track, Red Fraction. A former member of I've Sound, MELL's vocals fit perfectly over the pulse raising tune. Everything came together to make it one of the more memorable anime openings in recent anime. You know it's a good song, when you marathon a series and don't skip the intro every time. MELL has recently unfortunately been dealing with illness, and has retured from singing, but you can celebrate her sound with her last compilation album, Entrust: The Name of MELL, which was released a couple months ago.
