An overview of Hinamatsuri and some speed snacking

Oooh, informative!

As Japan gears up for Spring, there are plenty of new snacks to enjoy. But this time, I'm changing things up a little bit. Instead of just taunting you with the awesome treats available to me all the time (including a Misdo strawberry doughnut I wrote about recently), I also talk a bit about hinamatsuri, or doll festival, which is coming up on March 3rd in Japan.

Besides doll festival, the next month is also going to see the plum and cherry blossoms in bloom, which are a beautiful sight to behold. I can tell you now that you'll see more of that here on Japanator as everything comes into season. I also plan on making some bento lunches to enjoy while viewing the flowers. Are you interested in me sharing those with you? Sound off with your response, and any other general feedback you've got in the comments or directly to me via email: kristina (at) japanator (dot) com. I'm listening!
