Anime Expo 2014 is going on now

Kill la Kill tour continues, other major premieres

Anime Expo is upon us again this July 4th weekend. We'll try to bring the latest announcements there to you, and other important coverages from downtown Los Angeles.

The list of guests at Anime Expo is long and impressing as usual, but the focus this time will be on the big Kill la Kill event and the new Sailor Moon Crystal announcements. A bunch of this Summer season's premiere episodes will be screened at Anime Expo: SAO II, Terror in Resonance, Free: Eternal Summer (episode 2), and Dramatical Murder. There's also the dub premiere of IG's Giovanni's Island and the US premiere of the K movie.

The guest list at AX 2014 is just as long so I'll spare listing the entire thing here. Just some to note that the anison duo Angela will be performing at the K premiere, and songstress Aoi Eir at the Kill la Kill event on Friday. There is also rePlay, an orchestra playing video game and some anime music, happening on Sunday. The cast of the English sailor moon dub will be doing various events, along with Kill la Kill writer, character designer, and the voices of Satsuki and Ryuuko. SAO's creator will be with the light novel illustrator at the SAO events at AX. Production IG, Kyoto Animation and A-1 Pictures will also have representatives at anime expo doing panels and autograph sessions. Director Yutaka Yamamoto will be present, and so will president of BONES along with idol and voice actress Uki Satake. The president of Nitroplus will also be at AX along with writer Gen Urobuchi. Lastly, Masakazu Morita will be at AX for autographs and presenting the K movie.

It's a crazy-packed AX as usual. Anyone else going?
