Aquaplus fighter, Aquapazza coming to the PS3 this June

Shit just got real, ladies and gentlemen. Japanese developer Aquaplus will be releasing it's arcade fighting game, Aquapazza, to PS3 consoles this June. Featuring a combat system that utilizes support characters, Aquapazza brings together characters from popular Aquaplus properties such as To Heart, UtawarerumonoTears to Tiara and a few others as well. I've only played it a few times in the arcade, but it's definitely a fun game. I have no idea about its balance though.

The console version will be coming with four new characters: Chizuru Kashiwagi (Kizuato), Oboro (Utawarerumono), Serika Kurusugawa (To Heart) and Llyr (Tears to Tiara). At this point it's entirely possible we'll see more character announcements as we get closer to the Japanese release date.

Does this have a chance of coming out west? Honestly, I'm not sure. I can imagine licensing would be one hell of a pain in the ass, given the different franchises involved.

Fortunately as a fighting game, the language barrier is relatively low. Any hardcore Aquaplus fans planning on importing? I might bite depending on whether or not a community develops around it.

Though I don't think I'll ever stop calling it Aqua Pasta.
