Aw, snap: Rei Hiroe and ZAQ are heading to AnimeNEXT

Bullets and delusions make a great combo

With almost a month left until June, it turns out that the man behind the original Black Lagoon manga, Rei Hiroe, and the singer of Love, Chunibiyo & Other Delusions' opening, ZAQ, are making an appearance at AnimeNEXT '16.

I may be behind on Black Lagoon, but I always enjoyed the way how Hiroe places Rock, Revy, Benny and Dutch in various dangerous scenarios while they're handling each maar job. Even though I won't get the chance to see him at the con, it's great that people who are attending AnimeNEXT will get to meet him.

While I only saw one episode of Chunibiyo, ZAQ's performance during the opening captured the show's silly tone about acting out one's imaginations. Since AnimeNEXT marks her debut in North America, the con's attendees might get to see her sing live since she is a musical guest.

As a quick reminder, AnimeNEXT '16 starts on June 10 and it'll last until June 12 in the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, N.J. Since the group is getting a couple of TRIGGER's folks and Megumi Kouno of the [email protected] Cinderella Girls anime to make an appearance at the con, it looks like this year's AnimeNEXT is gonna be a blast.

To those who're going to AnimeNEXT this year, are you all excited about their current guest roster?
