AX 10: Notes from Bandai's panel

So I've got some notes from the Bandai's panel today. We were a bit late arriving to the convention -- thanks, Los Angeles, for the awesome traffic -- so we missed the first few minutes of the panel. That said, we didn't miss much. The only major announcement was their acquisition of the K-On! license. Of course, we sort of saw that coming.

There were a few bits of info that popped up which I wasn't already aware of, so I imagine some of you aren't either. The entire cast is indeed returning for the second season of Haruhi which.. I guess is a good thing. Same goes for the Haruhi-chan mini-series that they'll be releasing with a complete English dub. The Disappearance of Haruhi is getting a theatrical run in Hawaii, so if you live there you can see that. Also, apparently Christina Vee can't sing very well. We got to hear her sing twice and both times she was off-key and managed to rush the songs -- by the way, easily the worst rendition of "Don't Say Lazy," I've ever heard.

Finally Stephanie Shay came out and was cute, but told us stuff about the industry we all already sort of knew so.. there was that. Any way, if you stay tuned to Bandai's youtube channel, you'll get to see some live-action K-On! clips similar to the SOS stuff they did. It'll probably hurt your ears and eyes, but if you like that stuff, then it is a thing that is happening.
