Black Lagoon manga returns from hiatus


Series starts up again after 2 1/2 year break

It's been a long while since we last saw the Black Lagoon manga -- May of 2010, to be exact. But now it's back! A new chapter appeared in Sunday GX's February issue, which hit news stands a few days ago.

Crunchyroll took a look at the chapter, and highlights two glaring issues: the new chapter spent its first few pages recapping the story arc as it was, and that the next issue won't appear until Sunday GX's April issue, which will be on sale in late March. That means that whatever Rei Horie's been doing while on hiatus likely didn't include a detailed planning of what will go on in Black Lagoon.

Certainly, it's great to see the series pick up again, and I can't wait to read it myself, but we'll have to wait a few chapters to see just how well this whole process goes. Hopefully we don't just see two new chapters, followed by more delays in the story.
