Blue Dragon's Haruka releases new album

Returns after a five-year hiatus

When an artist leaves a major record label and disappears from the industry, it takes a lot of drive and ambition to mount a comeback, let alone your own record label, but that's exactly what singer-songwriter Haruka has done. Perhaps best known for her single "Muneni Kibou Wo," the second opening of 2008's Blue Dragon, Haruka left the industry five years ago but never gave up her love for music. Late last year, she launched her own label, along with  her first mini-album Hymns to my Soul. You can check out the video for her first single off that album "Fragile Blues" above.

Judging by her work, you can tell she's actually pretty talented, and if the single is indicative of the rest of her album, she can probably rock your face off. I also get the feeling she's a huge Siam Shade fan, but I suppose that's just a hunch. If you'd like, you can follow her on Twitter or Facebook, or keep up with her efforts on her blog. I know she hopes to be successful both in Japan and overseas, so I'm sure she'd appreciate your support. Oh, and if you're curious about that Blue Dragon single, you can listen below.
