Busou Shinki getting two games in one

In case you didn't know, Busou Shinki are a line of action figures produced by Konami based on the "mecha musume" concept of covering moe girls in armor, doll joints and weaponry.

With that in mind, you would think that a Busou Shinki videogame would play a bit like Armored Core, but with cute girls instead of military death machines. Fortunately, that's almost exactly what you're getting with Busou Shinki: Battle Masters for the PSP. Up to four players can link up and fight it out with their customized armored maidens. When offline, they can also follow a visual novel-like story.

That actually sounds pretty awesome. I've always wanted more mecha games that aren't all self-serious military style, and so far about the only one that delivered was the Pokemon-esque Custom Robo series. This one promises to be sexier.

Unfortunately, I don't know if the figure based on Toradora!'s Taiga (seen in the header and the gallery) will be making an appearance. I just included her picture there as a kind of lure for Brad Rice.

Also, check below for a fun video that's part of why I started caring about Busou Shinki at all.
