Calling all from the UK: Go to Kitacon 3.5!

Feel like having a charitable September? Well you're in luck fellow UK dwellers, as Kitacon 3.5 will be held in London on the 23rd for just such a purpose. Money will be raised in several ways, including a 'donate at the door' style entry fee and a charity auction. All proceeds are split between the Red Cross, St. Peter's Hospice and Meadow House Hospice, so you can tell that the money will be very much appreciated.

Of course, there is more to this than fund raising! The event itself is held as a gala, where "tuxedos and LBDs are as welcome as cosplay," so there's certainly room for some good old creativity. You are given a complimentary glass of bubbly for your efforts, as well as a special screening Manga Entertainment's forthcoming film 2001 Nights, and an evening of music from their DJ's.

For the full announcement, pop over to the Kitacon website. If you can't make it to the event, there is always Kitacon 4 next year, which features guests such as the recently announced Ellen McLain of Portal fame. It really sounds like a fun and worthwhile evening, so I'm calling you out! I'll even be down there myself if my University schedule is as forgiving as I hope it'll be!
