Catch the live-action Fullmetal Alchemist film at Anime NYC

Before the movie hits Japan

I don't know about you, but there's something great about a seeing a foreign film premiere at a new event before its release in its homeland. As Anime NYC gets ready for its debut in the Big Apple, the staff revealed that the live-action Fullmetal Alchemist movie is premiering at the event on Nov. 19.

Since the movie launches in Japan on Dec. 1, it looks like the con's attendees will get to see it first. To top things off, you'll get to meet the film's director, Fumihiko Sori (Appleseed 2004's Producer, Vexille's Director). If the movie does the source material justice, then the event's team picked a nice way to end the convention.

Anime NYC starts on Nov. 17, so we might be in for some new updates about the event. The screening will cost you $10.00, and it's required for people to own a con pass to attend as well. Considering that the two anime TV shows and the original manga have a special place in my heart, I'm hoping the live-action movie will have some great moments.

So is anyone planning to watch the movie at Anime NYC?
