Catherine and I have different sexual values

I guess you could say I'm on the prudish side. Stripping in public is just not my idea of a good time. Now Catherine, on the other hand... well, you can see the art above.

Let me be candid for a moment. By exploiting a cartoon female's body in this way, Atlus is going to get a ton of sales. Likewise, by blogging about it, I'm getting Japanator a ton of hits. We've based an entire economy on boobs.

I've written for a couple different nerd culture blogs and these sort of stories have always been a healthy side dish on the table of topics. That's no surprise to me. What DOES come as a surprise is when commenters respond with how cheap we're being by posting this sort of thing... after clicking on it. If you like the content, why would you be upset? I'm not saying this to be a downer or anything. It's simply that I respect the Japanator community's intelligence enough to ask this question straight.

So what do you think? Do you feel taken advantage of when your favorite blog posts suggestive photos, or are you a happy and willing participant in the Boob Economy?
