Check out what's new on Tomopop

We got reviews!

As you should be aware, Modern Method has a toy blog. It's called Tomopop. It's pretty rad, if I do say so myself. We talk about statues, poseable figures, plushes, just about anything that you can spend money on at a con and hope that it isn't a cheap knock off.

Toward that end, Tomopop reviews new toys on the reg. We do the photo work to make sure that you only buy the best that's out there. In an effort to keep everybody up to date, here are a few of our latest reviews and what the reviewers thought of their plastic idols.

Ques Q's Taiga Aisaka Swimsuit Ver.

Tomopop's editor-in-chief Brian Szabelski is a huge ToraDora fan, so it's natural that he'd be taking a look at Ques Q's Taiga in a swimsuit. Including some general production issues with her hair, there's just something off with her expression. Her face is painted and molded well, it just doesn't match her personality. I mean, I definitely don't remember her smiling like that in the show. Besides that, it's a solid figure that fans of ToraDora would do well in owning.

Takara Tomy's Pose Change Mewtwo

Tomo's plush expert Natalie Kipper got her hands on this "poseable" version of Mewtwo. I put poseable in quotations because, according to Nat, he doesn't seem to want to hold any position you move him in. I understand that Mewtwo is quite a willful pokemon, but that's a bit ridiculous. Besides that, he seems to be nice and cuddly, which is odd when you consider his psychic malevolence.

Bandai's S.H. Figuarts Krillin

Thanks to the good folks at Bluefin Distribution, Andres Cerrato reviewed their S.H. Figuarts Krillin. Super poseable and packed to the brim with accessories, there are a ton of things you can do with this little guy. You could have him float up and use a solar flare. He can lean back and activate a Destructo Disk. Well, let's be frank; you'll probably have him die again. Poor dude can't catch a break.

Keep an eye out for more quick hits from Tomo, or even better, head over there and keep up with daily news. You never know, you'll probably find your next toy or two while you're there!
