Countdown to March on Death Note 10th Anniversary Site

0

The ominous timer ends March 3rd.

Man, I hadn't thought I'd be writing about Death Note anytime soon. The 10th anniversary of Death Note is coming up (holy crap it's been 10 years?), so there's going to be a bit of a celebration. A website went up to promote the anniversary, but there's also a countdown timer that ends March 3rd. Something will be announced at the end -- but what? The new anime or manga series? A re-release of the original series? Or something totally boring? (There is a Death Note musical coming up in 2015 sometime.)

The website does have the line "If you touch this note, your memory will revive," at the bottom of the page. I wonder if that means anything? It always seems dangerous to get too excited for these types of countdowns, because they almost always end in disappointment. So, I'm just going to expect that it's something really dumb, like a free-to-play Death Note app where you write your friends' names into it and it syncs with them to see if you're out to kill your best buddies. Wait, that's actually not too terrible of an idea...

Do you want some more Death Note in your life? Or are you totally over this series now?
