Daisuki jumps on the premium service bandwagon

0

Will this improve the Website's quality?

As many streaming sites are currently offering premium services, it was only a matter of time until the gang at Daisuki would add this feature to their Website. Lo and behold, this day has arrived, and the beta for the premium membership starts on July 8 for the United States and Canada. Afterwards, the full version of it will launch later in the summer. Of course, the premium option will expand to other regions in the future.

Just like the premium options in many other Websites, people will get to watch Daisuki's current ongoing anime titles as they launch on the platform, with regular and guest members having to wait a week after the release; however, the special thing about this new format is that people with a non-premium account can still watch Daisuki's shows in HD.

The service will cost people $5.00 a month, which isn't too bad. Even though this premium option only grants its members the ability to see ads less frequently than everyone else, the membership also grants them access to titles that are exclusive to them. These shows include older anime like Gundam Wing, Gundam Seed, Gundam Seed Destiny, Round Vernian Vifam, and the 2013 ufotable film known as Magical Sisters Yoyo & Nene, along with an exclusive series called Vegetable Faire -N.Y. Salad, which features designs by Yoshitaka Amano.

At the moment, the older titles will only remain premium until Aug. 31, so people who aren't planning to upgrade will get to see them eventually; however, N.Y. Salad is the only show that'll remain as a Daisuki.net premium exclusive show. From the looks of it, the group plans to add more series to the new membership option as well.

Since this option will allow Daisuki to make more money, I'm hoping that this new service will result in the Website's connection issues become a thing of the past. That way, everyone can watch their shows on there without having to worry about getting disconnected from the stream. If anything, we'll just have to see how this new move will affect Daisuki.net down the road.

To those who use Daisuki, what do you all think about the Website adding a premium membership option?
