Details on Maid-sama anime adaptation sneak out

So, I missed word that Kaichou wa Maid-sama is getting an anime adaptation back at the end of August, but now they've actually announced some details about the production! Tokyopop announced licensing the manga last year, and have released two volumes thus far.

The plot centers around Misaki Ayuzawa, the first female class president at a formerly all-boys school, who's determined to fight the power and make it a safe place for girls. 'cause, put schoolgirls next to any schoolboy, and they'll instantly want to terrorize them. The twist? Misaki works at a maid cafe to make money, and one of the bad boys of the school finds out. Yet he's keeping it a secret! Typical shoujo plot, anyone? I'm game!

As for the new production info? J.C. Staff will be handling the production, while the director will be Hiroaki Sakurai (Kodocha, Di Gi Charat) while the series composition will be handled by Mamiko Ikeda (Rental Magica, Umisho). Well, I wish I could say this gets me excited for the series, but I guess I'll just wait until I see a promotional trailer or some still images of the show. It's set to come out sometime in 2010.
