Devoted moviegoer spots unfinished anime movie at theater

Real Devotion right here

A movie theater in Aomori city recently discovered that it had been screening an unfinished version of the anime movie In this corner of the world. This had gone for over seven weeks and the unfinished version had missing and different elements from the final version show in other theaters. Now how did the theater realize this error? Well, it turns out a fan who had seen the movie for about nine(!) times at different theaters noticed an audio error and told the director over Twitter.

Now imagine if this one devoted fan didn't go to see the movie multiple times, the error might have gone unnoticed longer and may have affected the quality of the moviegoers' experience, especially in a movie that has some pretty heavy emotions. I know that nobody's perfect but I wonder how many incidences like these happen when it isn't common for people to watch movies more than once at multiple theaters (as far I know).

The anime movie In this Corner of the World/Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni is an adaptation of the manga of the same name by Fumiyo Kōno and is about Suzu, a young bride who lives in Hiroshima during the second world war. It takes before and after the dropping of the atomic bomb in Hiroshima and chronicles the hardships of the era and the aftermath of the devastation.
