Featured Fan Art: Maru

Welcome to Featured Fan Art, your weekly dose of directory-dumping deliciousness!

This week's installment features Maru, an artist that I selected for two reasons:

  1. I've been watching a lot of tokusatsu lately, like Kamen Rider W. You could say I'm on a Kamen Rider kick. Eh? Eh?
  2. Maru draws Kamen Rider fan art so well that it could double as live-action promo material.
Actually, I'm not completely sure that his work isn't really just 'shooped versions of existing Rider portraits, but all the same, they look pretty boss. Going by the contents of his page, so far his work has been limited to Heisei-era Riders, but it's really those highly elaborate costumes that work well with the style. After all, photorealism would never be kind to, say, Riderman.

Anyway, check out the gallery for some henshin-humping hotness! And remember, if you've know of a fan whose art you'd love to see featured, send us a suggestion!
