Featured Fan Art: Miwa Shirow

Welcome to this week's edition of Featured Fan Art, where we put the spotlight on great fan art and the artists that make it, with the ultimate aim of providing much needed "sauce" for the random pictures you find floating about the otaku internet.

I'll admit that I'm cheating a little bit as I spotlight this week's featured fan artist Miwa Shirow. The reason it's "cheating" is that Shirow is no mere fan artist, but a full-on professional, the author and illustrator of Dogs: Bullets & Carnage, an action manga shown in Ultra Jump and published in North America by Viz.

Then again, whoever said that professional artists couldn't be fans? And judging by what's on offer at his site, Shirow is indeed a great fan, producing some of the most mind-blowing fan art I've ever seen.
