Featured Fan Art: Tsuyomaru

Welcome to Featured Fan Art, the Japanator feature that makes you curse the artists that refuse to use wallpaper-friendly aspect ratios.Well, you would curse them if their fan art wasn't fantastic.

Today's featured fan artist is known as "Tsuyomaru," or "Tsuyopen," and is particularly notable for his skill at getting his art to look like it was created using oil paint or some other, non-electronic method.

I love it when artists make their stuff using traditional media, or emulate its appearance. Its style contrasts so well to the unabashedly unnatural, artificial designs found in most games and anime. Seeing Hatsune Miku or the characters of Final Fantasy XIII rendered in such a way lends them a sense of delicacy that makes them seem "real" in a way that no amount of polygons can.

But you're here for pictures, not my internet blubbering, so check out the gallery below, or visit Tsuyomaru's site here.
