Final Fantasy Type-0 fan-translation to be released this August

0

Or so they say

For many of us, the effort to translate Final Fantasy Type-0 seemed like a project that would never near completion. The game released in Japan back in 2011, and while so many had been waiting on pins and needles for Square Enix to localize the PSP title, the company moved on without giving it much thought. Having left us to our own devices, enterprising fans banded together to translate the game and despite it all, they've come a long way. So far, in fact, that they've announced a release date for their translation patch -- August 8th, 2014.

While they admit there's still work to be done, providing an actual release date would seem to imply that the project is finally nearing completion. For obvious reasons, to make use of the patch, you'll need to have a PlayStation Portable, or Vita -- assuming that's even an option -- capable of running custom firmware. Unfortunately, due to the ease of jailbreaking the device, most of you shouldn't have much trouble obtaining one, should you desire to do so. That said, we wouldn't endorse doing so.
